DRACUT — A temp worker, a niece and an 80-year-old father.
The managers of three stores caught selling alcohol to a 19-year-old blamed inadequately trained workers for their failure to check the identification of the purchaser.
None of the store managers claimed innocence at the show-cause hearing held last night by the Board of Selectmen.
Dracut Police detectives Gregg Byam and Megan Courtemanche appeared before the selectmen with evidence in hand — six-packs of Budweiser. The beer was purchased on May 23 by an underage cooperating witness, who did not appear at the hearing.
