With all the comments (discussion, and lack thereof) here and on social media, I was reminded today that people in town do have a means to recommend suggestions or requests directly to the school administration.
Superintendent Stone has had a feedback form put onto the school website. Its a little tricky to find at first, but you can get to it off of the “Parent Info” menu.
A reminder, however, is that the Superintendent works for the School Committee. If you have an issue with regards to your own child you should of course start with a teacher, or his principal, and then move up to the administration. Give everyone a chance to solve the problem.
But if you just want to give them an idea, drop it in the suggestion box, or contact one of the School Committee directly (their email is also on the site under District Info).
As the discussion continues regarding the $2.9 million tax override question, keep in mind that the work of the town does go on either way.
