Dracut DPW : A++
By Shawn on Feb 10, 2013 in Community
We had the biggest storm in years.. over two feet of snow came down in a day.
One day later, the roads are clear, the parking lots all plowed out, and sidewalks from St Margurite Church to Hypine Drive have been cleared. As I drove by, Carl was finishing cleaning up the sidewalks around Town Hall.
There are still a lot more in the outskirts to go.. Navy Yard, Collinsville, Kenwood area, but that was a lot of good work done in a short time.
With the higher temperatures today and tomorrow, the roads are melting at quite a clip as well.
Sorry to the kids, but the schools look good. Unless there are other unforseen problems I don’t see the Superintendent choosing to close schools tomorrow. If he does, we’ll hear it later today but so far most announced closings are in southeast Mass where the power is still out for a quarter million homes.
Again, great job by all the DPW workers who got out there ahead of this thing.
