Sun reports McLaughlin facing Federal Charges

Michael McLaughlin, who underreported his salary at the Chelsea Housing Authority for years, is now facing charges in federal district court on the allegations.
Falsifying records, obstructing audits, all in a bid to pump up a pension before he got out.
Consequences of his actions and the investigations that followed have caused changes to housing policy, and even calls by the governor to re-organize the whole system.
It has been noted as well that Lt Gov Tim Murray is probably not running for governor next year because of the fallout from this investigation.
Neither McLaughlin, nor any of his friends and associates would comment for the story. Rep Colleen Garry showed compassion to his family, and noted his past support for her, but seems to have moved on as well.
There’s no one rallying to his defense.
