Telethon Results: Friday Night Record $130,077.00
By admin on Mar 16, 2012 in Community, Schools
I took another tour of the telethon tonight, visiting once again with a huge group of volunteers working tirelessly all week to raise funds for Dracut High seniors.
They’re starting to look tired, and was that Mr Mello shining shoes in the lobby to raise funds?
Hey, its anything for a buck night at Dracut High.
Stop over at http://www.dracutscholarship.org and make a donation.
Tonight was Senior night, so we got to see a lot of performances by the Senior Class.
Also, tickets for the annual musical show were on sale tonight. I’ll have more about that soon.
They crossed the $100,000 goal line at about 9:35.. on their way to see if they could beat their all time high of $120,620 from 2006.
At the end, they finished at a record level of $130,077.00.
For your entertainment, I did get one more video of Dennis Shaughnessey (and have to admit, that I think I’ve spent a couple hours on YouTube today listening to 60s and 70s music because of him).

Congratulations to all involved in the Telethon. This annual event is unique to Dracut and school districts from around the state have stopped by over the years to see how it’s done. Often imitated. Never duplicated.
Is $130,077 really a record?
Also, thanks Shawn for the posts. Every year I’m just pleased that I didn’t embarrass myself.
