Sesame Street Live, on 980 WCAP
By admin on Nov 20, 2010 in Community
I grabbed the clips on my way out this morning of the discussion between Peg Emory and a number of her Sesame Street neighbors including Steve Tyler and Joan Picco.
The discussion continued with their differing opinions on the meaning and results of the testing that was done, and each of their hopes for what the resolution will be.
Mrs Emory wants to make a deal with a purchaser to buy the property as is, rather than fix it up just to have someone have to change it afterwards.
She has been in touch with potential buyers (developers), as well as Habitats for Humanity and Mass ARC. She fully wants to be rid of the property by spring.
The neighbors are still trying to determine what direction they can go, feeling disappointed by the results coming from the town so far.
Warren Shaw pointed out that a movement into a public hearing and then legal action will actually slow the process of resolving anything, and encouraged Mrs Emory to make an agreement of some sort with the town to resolve the issue within a specific time frame.
All in all, everyone was very respectful of each other.. though there seemed to be a little bit of talking about people in the third person when they were sitting right there.. but I think that was more a result of the uncomfortableness that comes with being on the radio for the first time.
