Fred Simon and Warren Shaw are on the air announcing at this moment that the 980 WCAP efforts towards raising money for the Greater Lowell Salvation Army succeeded once again in beating its annual goal.
With a goal of $98,000, the final totals have come in. Altogether, we raised $102,157.62.
Its hard to believe, that in such [...]

Mike Miles offers to Help »

In a response to DJ Deeb’s letter in last month’s Valley Patriot, School Committee member Mike Miles denies any “Gang of 3″ is in existence, and offers his professional services to Mr Deeb over his continued obsessive behavior.. its entertaining to read.
The best way to read these is to right-click on them and select your [...]

Miles will run this spring »

A quick note.. I know that Mike Miles made a side-note in the last meeting as to “whether he will run this spring,” but I have already been notified that he has an upcoming fundraising party planned for later this month and is already working on his campaign.

Dracut Historic Society.. a great town Resource »

I don’t think that I am out of line in saying here that in my opinion, I best like the policy set forth by Chief Rosa [...]

Does studying history help you Predict? »

I was reminded by Brian about a prediction by Jim O’Loughlin last year:
James O’Loughlin, Dracut selectman: “I’m not saying who or for what reason, but somebody from Dracut will receive national recognition.” He also predicts also that the Lowell political community will be “reeling by an unexpected resignation.”
I’m not sure if he meant it as [...]

This Morning’s Sun shining on Dracut »

Pick up this morning’s Lowell Sun to read an editorial that supports the retaining of Elaine Espindle for the interim Superintendent position.
This is no surprise, as the Sun has had a long history of having great respect for Espindle, and was just as dissappointed with Mullin as the rest of the press.
Dan Phelps column has [...]

Espindle to return as Interim Superintendent »

Following a short discussion, where member Ron Mercier and Dr Mike McNamara preferred continuing the search process for an interim Superintendent via interviews and then a selection, the board voted 4 to1 with Mercier the only member voting against to select and start negotiations with former Superintendent Elaine Espindle for the position of interim Superintendent.
Mr [...]
