School Committee Reorganizes

Well, I was at the town hall for a couple hours last night, you would have thought I would have looked at the bulliten board..
The School Committee met at 6:00 at the High School tonite (not 6:30 at the admin building, as I expected) to vote on their new organization.
Matt Sheehan was voted in unanimously as the new chairman, with Mike Miles as first vice-chair and Dr Mike McNamara as 2nd vice chair.
I am told that Matt will have the committee assignments at the first meeting next Monday, as well as an overview of what he would like to see as some priorities for the upcoming year.
Good luck to the new committee, and here’s to a successful year.

June Town Meeting Warrant Articles
As I was reading through the warrant articles of the June Town Meeting, I found at least a couple of controversial articles. Will provisions be made by the moderator for a private ballot?
I ask this because I will be requesting a vote by secret ballot, which is in order, and if it passes approval by 25% of those attending town meeting, will the Moderator be prepared to accommodate this request?
