University Ave Bridge reopening

Finally, a little late, but finally the bridge along University Ave will be reopening this week.
This should ease up on traffic across all of the bridges in Lowell.
This job, which cost almost a million dollars itself, is another temporary repair to keep the bridge operational until 2013 or 2014 when the entire bridge is scheduled to be replaced.
Of course, with the speed at which we’ve seen the repairs being done to the Tyngsboro bridge, I think we can bet that this repair will have to hold for a considerable time.
