Special Meeting to discuss recent Crime

Selectman John Zimini has set up a meeting for Monday evening with the police to talk with residents about the rescent increase in crimes involving car break-ins in the east Dracut neighborhoods.

As reported in yesterday’s Lowell Sun, Zimini has been canvassing the area with flyers announcing the meeting. This was in reaction to the number of calls he had been getting from his neighbors regarding the breakins.

A MESSAGE FROM DRACUT SELECTMAN

JOHN ZIMINI

Hello Neighbor,

As some of you might be aware, there has been an unfortunate increase in car break-ins in our neighborhood over the last month or so. Both as your neighbor and as your Selectman, I am concerned about this activity.

Therefore, I have asked our town public safety officials to join me in a neighborhood meeting to discuss this issue with you and to answer any questions that you may have on this subject.

DATE: Monday Nov. 24, 2008

TIME: 6:30 p.m.

PLACE: Dracut Police Station Community Room

110 Loon Hill Road

I sincerely hope that you can attend this meeting. If you cannot make this meeting and have any questions that you would like me to ask on your behalf, do not hesitate to call me at (978) 975-1801.

Thank you,

John
