Join the forum discussion on this post – (1) PostsA letter to the editor this morning by DJ Deeb gives us all a reminder why we voted against him.
A list of what he sees as failures of the school system.. who’s responsible for those? The school committee who let them happen.
Unfair news coverage? Maybe [...]

The Lowell Sun
After having recently lost the Dracut School Committee election by 27 votes, I have been unfairly criticized by Jim Campanini of The Sun and former Dracut Selectman Warren Shaw. Space here will not permit me to give a comprehensive response, but I have done just that on www.warrenshaw.com. There are a number of [...]

I’ve provided for your perusal a PDF file of the June 2008 Town Meeting warrant.
I don’t see a lot of surprises here, but things change as we learn more about the details.
Article 14 talks about purchasing equipment for the fire and police departments.. don’t know what that is about yet.

“It’s been our goal to take politics out of this committee.”
The preceding statement was spoken by a member of the Dracut School Committee.

He was right in taking the Sun to task for [...]

I agree with the comment that the Dracut superintendent had the support of the majority of those who voted. However, the tone of the article is very upsetting when Mr. Campanini states [...]

We offered Mr Martin the chance to come on the air Saturday Morning to discuss the issue of his suspension from Pop Warner this last week, and he gladly came on.
The details got a little rough to understand, but basically he is claiming that there is a personal disagreement between himself and the treasurer and [...]

I don’t think so, but speculation is rampant. That was the highlight of the Lowell Sun political column today.
When Matt Sheehan was running for office, it was clear that people were concerned with previous School Committee members getting jobs within the district.
It was a strong enough item to make it a campaign issue.
When he made [...]

A Sun Staff Report, Lowell Sun
IT MAY be May: May Paquette, that is.
A week after unseating Dennis “D.J.” Deeb by 27 votes, new Dracut School Committee member Matthew Sheehan made a motion that former board members can’t be hired by the School Department until they have been out of office for five years.
It didn’t take [...]
